Zoo Trip

Our zoo just had 3 baby red pandas and we got to see them!
The boys with "Bob" the Alligator Turtle who posed just for us.The Arctic Fox is one of my favorite animals and we have 2 at our zoo but you hardly ever get to see them. Today both of them were out and we got some great pictures.
Every year since Alex could stand I have put the boys by this statue and taken their picture. Kind of a growth chart type thing. The first year Alex was shorter than the smallest bear. This year he is leaning on it and he still is towering above it. Amazing!

Trail Lights

We usually go to the Denver Zoo Lights but this year we tried something new and went to the Trail lights at Chatfield Reservoir. It was beautiful and the boys had a lot of fun. It was not too terribly cold but we still needed hot coco of course. Next year it is back to the zoo lights because we missed the animal shapes.

Christmas Evening at our house

On Christmas evening every year we have both of our families over to have a evening together with a ton of food, more presents and you can definitely wear jeans! I made Italian food this year which I think is going to be our traditional meal. It fits with Wilson's side of the family, it is my favorite food and it is easy to make gluten free. Thank you for traveling to our house to have a cozy night with us. We enjoy having everyone here with us!

Play Time on Christmas Day

The 3 boys playing with all the new toys
The boys have been working on building a "city". It is unlike any city we have around here. It has a farm, zoo, buildings, fire station and a dinosaur world. Here is the part they were setting up today.
For those of you who do not know the loved "Peef" bear. Santa made him just for Lukas and gave him to him 3 Christmas' ago. This year, Santa left a new suit for Peef to wear during the winter.
Lukas' favorite things: Spiderman, a knight complete with a horse and his new Legos from Pop that he built in about 5 minutes. They go in the city too!
Alex had the smallest Santa list I have ever seen. It was only 3 things: a Ben 10 Ominitrix (don't ask), a computer game and a HUGE blue Nerf gun with a scope. This thing is so big it comes up to Lukas's nose! Could Alex look more like Wilson in this picture!?

Alexis' locket

When we went to California this fall Alex decided he wanted to get Alexis' Christmas present at Disneyland. He knew exactly what he wanted to get her and honestly needed no help in deciding. He picked out a Princess jewelry box with a dancing Cinderella inside and a Cinderella locket necklace. I could not believe he kept the secret this whole time but as you can see, she was really surprised. I cut out a picture of Alex and one of Lukas and put it in her locket. I think that was the best part! Alexis and her family gave us a beautiful Bingo set and the boys play it all the time.

Santa Came!

Merry Christmas!
Santa came to the Wilson house!
Blue wants his stocking of treats too!
Lukas' fireman coat
Batman laptop
We had a wonderful quiet morning just the 4 of us in our new Christmas pj's from Mamo. It was so peaceful and the boys even let us sleep until about 7ish!

Christmas Eve at Mamo's House

We had a wonderful evening at Mamo's house on Christmas Eve. Tons of presents of course and the most amazing food! The boys really enjoyed themselves this year and loved mom's North Pole Village more than ever. Alex has taken to photography so the next 3 pictures are his.

Happy Hanukkah!

Every year we go to the Iten's to celebrate Hanukkah, this year we were planning on hosting but a furnace issue spoiled our plans so we packed up and followed our tradition. I love the miracle that is celebrated on this holiday of how the people having faith in God saved them and made the light last eight days. I am paraphrasing but still... this year I finally got to share Christmas with Annabelle! The boys love playing dreidel and lighting the doughnut menorah (yes, Cath is very brave) that Cathryn cleverly makes for them every year. Lukas is amazingly good at saying the blessings with Cathryn in Hebrew and Alex is quiet but listens very seriously. This year we added a stocking for Annabelle and read her "Twas the Night Before Christmas" too. Anna loved her new phone but my favorite was watching her pull her very own dreidel out of her stocking! How many kids can say that happened to them! Cathryn has great pictures on her blog too, just use "The Iten's" link on the right of my page and go to the Happy Hanukkah post. Thank you Itens, we had a blast as usual! Can't wait for Matza Pizza!

Holiday Shows

We have been treated to a couple of fabulous holiday shows this week.
Can you guess who hid and
who was the ham?

Lukas' best friend, Logan. He has the "and I don't know when" line in the poem!
So cute! Lukas says, "the wreaths on the door". They did the 12 Dogs of Christmas too but it is a bit long! Lukas had the Husky dog, my favorite.

Well, yes he hid but he can eat!

Our pretty tree, the boys hung the ornaments this year!

Iten ladies over to play!

The Iten ladies came over to play this week and it turned into a tumbling and climbing evening! Annabelle was showing us her new moves and the boys were teaching her how to walk on Wilson's back. If you can hear Alex's laugh, in the first video, it still is just contagious!

1 month of Gymnastics

After the Olympics Lukas wanted to start doing Gymnastics. Clearly someday he will be too tall to do this sport but they come to his school and it is exercise for now. He loves his Friday classes and wanted to show off his moves!

Halloween!

The Race Car Driver and The Knight
Lukas, Alexis and AlexAlexis and Lukas
Alex and Alexis
We went to Southlands for Halloween this year and had a wonderful time! The shopping center has trick-or-treating for the kids, jumpy castles, balloon artists and a pumpkin decorating contest! It is all free which is nice and the kids had a blast. Alex was a knight, Lukas was a race car driver and Alexis was Sharpay from High School Musical. Mamo, Pappy, Nena, Grandma, Grandpa, Wilson and myself met Denise and Alexis and we had a great dinner at Fish City Grill after the trick-or-treating fun. It was a wonderful night of friends.
